Feudo stagnone

Deep roots,
sustainable vision

In the heart of western Sicily, between the lights of the Mediterranean and the suspended silence of the salt pans, Feudo Stagnone was born.

The winery traces its roots back to 1960, when a group of winemakers decided to come together to cherish and enhance an extraordinary territory. Since then, we have been carrying on a collective vision of wine made up of sharing, respect and a deep connection with the land.

Vineyards

In the heart of the Stagnone Reserve

Our vineyards extend within the Stagnone Nature Reserve, a unique ecosystem suspended between sky and sea. Here, among islands, salt pans and brackish winds, we grow exclusively native grapes – such as Grillo, Perricone, Catarratto and Zibibbo – with full respect for biodiversity and environmental fragility.

Every choice we make is guided by one principle: to return the authentic voice of the land to the wine.

01

Wind
of the Stagnone

The sea breezes that constantly sweep through the Stagnone Nature Reserve are a blessing for our vineyards. This natural flow of air, coming from the sea and laden with salt, not only mitigates the summer heat but also regulates humidity, reducing the risk of disease and promoting a slower, more harmonious ripening of the grapes.
The result? Wines of great freshness, with a refined structure and a vibrant natural acidity that enhances their elegance and longevity.

02

Filtered light
from the salt flats

The unique landscape of the salt flats creates unparalleled lighting conditions. The sun’s reflections on the water and salt amplify the intensity of the light, while at the same time diffusing it in a delicate and even manner. This phenomenon stimulates photosynthesis in the plants without stressing them, resulting in grape clusters rich in aromas, complexity, and color.
The resulting wines convey the warmth of the South with a surprising aromatic finesse.

03

Practices
sustainable

Farming within a nature reserve is a responsibility we embrace with pride every day. We employ environmentally friendly methods: low yields per hectare to prioritize quality, targeted water use, and respect for native flora and fauna.
Our viticulture is not merely about production, but a daily commitment to protecting and enhancing a fragile and precious ecosystem.

04

A landscape
to be protected

Our vineyards are not isolated; they exist in harmony with one of Sicily’s most captivating environments. The historic salt pans, windmills, islands floating on the water, and the presence of pink flamingos make the Stagnone a landscape of rare beauty and ecological value.
Producing wine here means preserving a millennia-old balance between nature and culture, between people and the land. Every harvest is an act of respect toward this living heritage.
