Description
There is an ancient soul that inhabits the rows of the Stagnone. It is the Perricone, an intense and sincere red, which is born where the salty wind meets the sun-baked earth and the clouds are mirrored in the salt pans.
A rare and proud native grape variety that finds its most authentic voice in this suspended corner of Sicily.
In the glass it wears the color of the sunset setting the horizon ablaze: deep ruby with purple hues. The bouquet is a journey through the senses: wild blackberry, ripe plum, balsamic hints and sweet spices that tell of the Mediterranean summer. The palate is enveloping and structured, with elegant tannins and a vibrant savoriness that recalls the nearby sea.
Feudo Stagnone’s Perricone is a wine that speaks with an ancient voice and a modern heart. It is Sicily that is unhurried, that endures, that fascinates.
